Easy to Print Ikea Skadis Pegboard Hanger

3d print Skadis Pegboard Hanger Hook

This is an easy to print Ikea Skadis Pegboard hanger hook using a 5mm steel rod or M3 screw for hanging heavier stuff.

One thing I don’t like about Ikea’s original pegboard hanger is I feel it wastes some space above it. And it is not possible to hang it on the very top of the board. Moreover, it seems too long for most of my tools.

Anyway, the shaft part with the 3d print is a bit fragile for me. So I decide to use steel by cutting 5mm rods at the desired length and bending it a bit at one end.

For a shorter hook the M3 screw is working just fine, Just be sure the hole of the things you like to hang is larger than the screw head.

Note:

  • The hole for 5mm steel rods is a tight fit. May apply some A-B epoxy or CA glue to increase hook strength.
  • To cover the screw thread. Use a small shrink tube cut to the length of the M3 screw (leave about 6 mm shorter)
